About Us
At Ecobase, we help landowners unlock the full potential of their land, creating value for both the climate and their business. We work with clients managing a combined portfolio of 7 million hectares - ranging from institutional forest funds to public forest agencies and large private landowners - who are committed to leveraging their forest assets for climate impact through carbon sequestration.
With the largest portfolio of forest carbon projects in Europe, we currently support landowners across 24 countries. Our approach combines local expertise, innovative strategies, and a deep commitment to sustainability. Ultimately, our mission is to accelerate the shift toward sustainable forestry and deliver lasting, positive environmental impact!
We’re expanding our team in Sweden and are looking to strengthen our local presence with a Business Development role, to identify new partners and new carbon projects suitable for the Swedish forests.
What You’ll Do:
- Support lead generation by identifying potential landowners across Sweden who could benefit from joining forest carbon projects.
- Conduct outreach via email, phone, and events to introduce Ecobase’s program and gather key information about landowner interest and eligibility.
- Assist in qualifying leads by helping assess basic land characteristics, forest types, and suitability for carbon projects.
- Schedule and prepare meetings for senior team members, ensuring smooth handover of leads and up-to-date contact records.
- Contribute to database management and CRM upkeep, ensuring all landowner interactions are properly documented.
- Support event planning and follow-up for industry meetings, field visits, and regional networking activities.
- Collaborate closely with the rest of the team and learn from forestry, technical, and commercial colleagues as you develop your skills.
What You Bring:
- A degree (or final-year studies) in forestry, environmental sciences, natural resource management, or a related field.
- A strong interest in sustainable land use, carbon markets, or climate-positive forestry.
- Clear and confident communication skills — you’re comfortable reaching out to landowners and explaining ideas.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks at once.
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup, while also collaborating effectively with a supportive cross-functional team.
- Motivation to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where you can grow and make an impact.
Bonus:
- Experience working in forestry, agriculture, rural development, or a related sector (internships or projects welcome).
- Familiarity with CRM systems.
- Previous exposure to landowner relations, customer service, or outreach work.
- Desire to grow into a more senior client-facing or project development role in the future.
