Join us and help landowners unlock and commercialize their positive impact on the environment!
About Us
At Ecobase, we help landowners unlock the full potential of their land, creating value for both the climate and their business. We work with clients managing a combined portfolio of 7 million hectares - ranging from institutional forest funds to public forest agencies and large private landowners - who are committed to leveraging their forest assets for climate impact through carbon sequestration.
With the largest portfolio of forest carbon projects in Europe, we currently support landowners across 24 countries. Our approach combines local expertise, innovative strategies, and a deep commitment to sustainability. Ultimately, our mission is to accelerate the shift toward sustainable forestry and deliver lasting, positive environmental impact!
We’re expanding our team in Sweden and are looking for an Account Manager to strengthen our local presence. The role will involve business development and evaluation of new project potential to identify new partners and new carbon projects suitable for the Swedish forests.
What You’ll Do:
- Identify and engage suitable landowners across Sweden who can benefit from joining forest carbon projects.
- Build trust with landowners and forest managers by clearly explaining how Ecobase’s carbon program fits into their forest management goals.
- Guide landowners through the early stages of participation - from first contact to contract signature - ensuring they are confident and well-informed.
- Leverage your forestry knowledge to qualify leads, assess basic project suitability, and build credibility in conversations with landowners and partners.
- Represent Ecobase at industry events, landowner associations, and professional networks to increase awareness and generate new opportunities.
- Work closely with the Swedish market team and collaborate with our product and marketing teams to integrate client feedback and continuously improve our service.
What You Bring:
- Several years of experience in the Swedish forestry sector - you understand forest management, landowner priorities, and local market dynamics.
- Experience working directly with landowners or forest managers - you’re confident speaking their language and addressing their practical needs.
- Motivation to take on a more outward-facing, commercial role while building your experience in client engagement and deal-making.
- Strong understanding of forest data and digital tools (e.g., inventory systems, GIS, or remote sensing).
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup, while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Motivation to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where you can take ownership and make an impact.
Bonus:
- Knowledge of carbon finance, nature-based solutions, or forest certification schemes.
- An existing network within Sweden's forestry or landowner community.
- Sales or commercial experience in a forestry, agri-environmental, or land-based services context.
- Academic background in forestry, natural resources, or environmental sciences.
Why Ecobase?
By joining Ecobase, you’ll support professional forest owners in turning their land into a long-term climate asset. You’ll help landowners understand the carbon market, take practical action on their land, and access results-based finance for sustainable forest management.
We offer a competitive salary and stock options - so you grow as we do. You'll also enjoy private health insurance, team trips to our Estonian HQ, and company-wide holidays to recharge and connect.
